Residential developer FYVE is the latest to offer unparalleled confidence to apartment purchasers, securing the sought-after Latent Defects Insurance (LDI) for their new Gosford project, Serenity by FYVE.

The boutique development, comprising just 34 apartments, is one of only two new projects on the Central Coast to offer LDI, a 10-year insurance policy that protects buyers against defects that may arise post-completion.

FYVE Development Manager Dennis Nie said the decision was about delivering maximum assurance to purchasers.

"We wanted to send a clear message to buyers: we back our ability to deliver quality projects that stand the test of time, and we’re backing that promise with an insurance policy that offers real peace of mind when buying off the plan or new apartments."

According to Nie, early feedback indicates the LDI is strongly resonating with buyers.

"It’s a game-changer for the consumer, and as a developer who takes quality construction seriously, it was an easy decision for us to offer LDI on our Serenity project. Insurers selectively offer LDI to developers and builders that they determine as trustworthy and with the credentials and experience to deliver quality buildings to a standard expected by consumers."

Serenity is currently under construction on Donnison Street, adjacent to Waterview Park and near Brisbane Water. It’s just a seven-minute walk to the Gosford CBD, with Sydney accessible in around an hour by train or car.

To further strengthen buyer confidence, FYVE waited until the project was approximately 70 per cent complete before launching it to market.

"We understand that buying off the plan can be a daunting experience for some purchasers and the best way to allay those concerns is to see progress on site," Nie said. "We’re well advanced in construction, and buyers can already see the building’s facade nearing completion." He added that FYVE’s status as an iCIRT-rated developer supports their strong track record and reputation for delivery.

Looking ahead, FYVE is preparing to bring several new projects to market, turning its attention closer to Sydney with upcoming sites in Miranda, Northbridge and Rose Bay. These new apartments will be tailored to local owner-occupiers and downsizers, highlighting Fyve’s ability to produce quality apartments at all segments of the value spectrum.
